Big baby

I was in a similar situation as you. My baby was born last year September. I went into hospital at 37 weeks for induction due to having gastestional dibetics and was told that my baby was very big. I did not even make it to the labour ward was given pessary and was told I will go to the labour ward at 11pm. My baby came out at 5.06pm normal delivery no pain relief or anything. Everything happened so fast. He weighed 7.2lbs

they said about induction at 39 weeks with me but I don’t see what a weeks difference would make but there’s also the chance I could go before then so im like should I just wait it out, as they induced me with my first 3 years ago and it was completely unnecessary that’s why im so put off of it this time around

Did you have a C-section or natural the first time they induced you?

That makes total sense, especially after what you went through the first time. A week really doesn’t feel like a huge difference, and if there’s a good chance baby might come on their own before then, I’d be thinking the same. Trust your gut — you know your body and your experience better than anyone else.

thank you for the advice, I’m just so confused by it because the consultant I saw just couldn’t be bothered to explain felt like she just wanted me in and out after making me wait 2hours to be seen!

No way that's totally wrong. She shouldn't of made you feel that way.

she was awful she wasn’t even who I normally see and she took back everything the other one said at the previous scan that baby was measuring small it’s like no one could make their minds up that’s why I’m like do I really trust them at this point

I wouldn't trust them either
