If someone said you or your partner smells good, would you think they're flirting?

One of male coworkers' cologne smells so good but I figure it's better not to say anything for him to think it means something else 😂

hahaha a compliment sandwich always work well 🤣

How about asking where the cologne is from as it smells nice? That moves away from accidentally coming across as making a sensuous comment as there's no direct "you smell" nice.

Women and men compliment my husband’s cologne all the time. I think it’s nice.

Can you play it off? Like say “hey I love your cologne so I’d love to know what it’s called so I can buy it for my partner! He would love something like it!”? So that way you not only establish you’re in a committed relationship but it’s for your partner so it wouldn’t sound flirty. Idk, I hope this helps!

I meannnnn….whatever works. You could say it’s for your dad or brother too. Invent a whole side character 😆

No people say I smell good a lot it’s just a compliment to me not necessarily flirting. Some ask what perfume I’m wearing. It’s hard to answer them because mine come in homemade rollers from the market 😂 it’s not a big brand perfume that I wear.

He’ll never suspect a thing! 🫣😂😂😂

I think something like, “I like your cologne, what are you wearing?” sounds less flirty/ more friendly?

It is borderline inappropriate and agree with Mas. It is better to ask about the fragance rather than themselves.
