I am so lost.
14 week old, tongue tie, oral thrush resolved at 5 weeks. He still will not take more than 2-3oz again. We had got up to 3-4 but feeds could take almost an hour.
Last two days following immunisations I am lucky to get 2-3oz every 4 hours 🤦🏻♀️. We have dropped a centile and now being monitored again.
I do not know what else to do, I’ve tried different bottles, teats, positions. If he doesn’t want it, he is not drinking it. Dream feeds don’t work either and I don’t want to make the situation worse by forcing anything on him. I am at the end of my tether and feel like an awful mum!
He’s happy and content most the time but yesterday in 24 hours he had 500ml 😭
What else can I do?

I am truly truly so sorry you're going through this. Your situation sounds exactly like ours, our LO is now on an NG tube and is 9 months. He would only take about 200-300ml in a day.
After all of the battling medical professionals for months on end and our LO dropping from the 90th to the 0.7th centile, multiple admissions etc we've finally got a diagnoses of delayed gastric emptying.
I won't recommend anything to you, because it really did frustrate me when someone would come up with a "great" solution to our issues that we had tried over and over again.
You're NOT an awful mum! Please don't ever feel that way, there is something else happening with your LO to make him not want to drink more than he is. If he's putting on weight and having good consistent heavy wet/dirty nappies etc then that's okay, but if LO's nappies are only slightly wet even if hes having more than 3 a day, push for some form of hydration from medical staff.
Our LO was also deficient in iron and b-12 -

as well as having high salt due to dehydration, we were under paeds and dieticians whilst he was becoming dehydrated and dropping all of that weight and looking back, I WISH i'd have just thrown pride out the window and demanded what I knew our LO needed sooner.
Looking back, I never ever want to go back to the place we were again. If you feel it's the right outcome for your baby then push and push and push for an NG. I truly believe it saved our LO when we thought initially he was absolutely fine because we knew no different from him actually being hydrated etc, as soon as he had sufficient b-12 he went from becoming stagnant in his milestones to meeting them all at once!
Health visitors are usually incredible at helping you with what to say and what to push for when you go to paeds and dietician appointments. I am really so sorry you and your LO are going through this, it is terrifying and anxiety inducing, you never want to leave the house in fear of them refusing the bottle

My 17 week old is the same way...and his thrush won't go away. It stressed me out a lot...but I focus on the fact that he has good amount of wet diapers and whatnot. He seems to be gaining weight but I'm not sure how much. I've also tried giving him biogia probiotics.

I hope both our babies will improve soon!
