struggling to understand this a bit so it’s against the vaccines is that right?

My baby is booked in for tomorrow and I’m still on the fence wether to get them or not😭

Avatar

If there was a vaccine to keep your baby safe why would you not get it?!? The chances of any complications are so rare

Avatar

Mine was fine after them, no reaction to them at all. She only cried for a second and was fine x

Avatar

You can delay them if your not sure yet, I’m waiting until my boy is bigger

Avatar

Not getting your child vaccinated is extremely irresponsible.. have you not seen the news recently regarding children that are dying/getting seriously ill due to a measles outbreak???

Avatar

Yes. Never doubted it really.

Avatar

Yes. Could never forgive myself if any of my little ones caught something that was either fatal or severely impacted their life and I could have prevented it or at least made the effects much more mild. There’s scaremongering from either side and I’m sorry to hear about your friends little one but when you think how many babies are vaccinated every single day and don’t react to the vaccines I think that speaks more.

Avatar

they don’t have the measles vaccine until they are 1 years old x

Avatar

Yes, my daughter had her best ever nights sleep after the first vaccine and was totally fine. My current baby was fussy for 2 nights but now is back to normal. Absolutely no doubt about getting it.

Avatar

the point still stands though 😂

Avatar

it does🥲 but they can still contract it before getting their injections x

Avatar

Never understood people who are hesitant.
You have the power to protect your child and you chose not to?
Benefits vs risk are so high I don’t get it.

My little one is due next week I am always worried about reactions however the pros outweigh the cons for me . If unsure why don't you contact your doctor or HV for a chat to discuss any concerns that may help put your mind at risk

Avatar

My LO is booked for his next week. We are getting them, of course. Vaccine are meant to protect against serious illness. This risk of serious illness from not getting a vaccine is much higher than a reaction from getting the vaccine.

My little one had hers on Friday and she was completely fine after, she screamed when they were done but after she was ok, gave her calpol straight after and then two more doses 4 hours spaced after

Avatar

Absolutely, the risks of a vaccine are tiny compared the risks of your baby getting one of the illnesses. Rates of vaccination are at a 10 year low so the risk of your baby catching an illness if not vaccinated are higher than ever. Better to be protected!

Avatar

10000000% yes....

Mine has had them on Wednesday she cried getting them done but not for long. was told to give her calpol 3 times that day every 4-6 hours incase she got a temp but she’s been absolutely fine no reactions. It’s vaccines people have been having for years and years I’m assuming you’ve probably had them yourself? It’s coming up to flu season ect there’s so many things going round it’s important x

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Strange question

Hello. I would identify myself as asexual but yes i am married and i have a child. But now that ive had my baby. I think its solidified that im done having sex. I feel bad as my partner keeps asking me but i just dont want to. Any advice on what i can do? Any other asexual moms out there? I guess this could be confusing but im not huge on being bound by a label. I have just always felt it represented me best since highschool.
