Tips for not sitting crossed legged

I'm currently 18 weeks pregnant and working in a nursery. I work with babies so spend a lot of my time on the floor with them and usually sit with my legs crossed. At the end of a shift I'm suffering with leg swelling, spoken to my midwife about it and she said it's likely due to the way I sit as it doesn't happen on other days. So has anyone got any tips of how to sit on the floor without crossing my legs? I try but I just can't get comfy. Also, not sitting isn't an option. Thanks.

Hi, I also work in a nursery. Have you considered maybe changing rooms. When I cover in the baby room I try to find a spot where I can rest my back for good posture and have my legs spread out that way the babies can crawl to me and I’m not tempted to cross my legs over. It is difficult being in the baby room as everything is floor based activities. Manager put a risk assessment in place for you?
