Emetophobia and pregnancy…

Ladies I need some advice!!! I’ve had emetophobia for as long as I can remember, I’m now 4 weeks pregnancy and absolutely terrified of ending up with morning sickness and HG, I know it doesn’t effect everyone, but god I am so so scared. Have you got any tips or advice please?? This is my first pregnancy and genuinely don’t know what to do or expect! I’ve had some nausea on and off but it’s gone when I’ve eaten, any advice would be much appreciated ❤️

Hello I had emetophobia and my biggest fear was being sick and Sod’s Law I got morning sickness for 16 weeks. That’s not to scare you but what I would say is I struggled the first few weeks but it did become less scary over time and although I wouldn’t say I got used to it it became less scary. Also I had anti sickness medication from GP which helped some what x

were you sick a lot or just a couple of times a day? I’m just trying to gauge what I can expect if I do get it. When did yours start? I’m so glad you got through it. I suppose it’s a form of exposure therapy too 🤣 xx

A couple of times a day yeah never constantly. Mine started around week 6 I very quickly got anti sickness from GP as well once I realised I was being sick. Lol I know I thought that I will say actually I’m definitely less scared of being sick now xx

Thankyou! That’s eased my mind a bit! I have anti sickness bands as I get travel sick and I’m making sure to have crackers and mints dotted around the flat 🤣 x
