Hey! My baby is 8 months old.. I have recently been told I can use oat milk in his porridge. What’s the best oat milk brand that doesn’t cost the world? Thank you x

I've used Alpro growing up oat and soya milk since my son was 6 months, was recommended by his dietician 🙂

Go for the supermarkets' own brand. If you read the labels, you will notice they are all pretty similar.
Just remember they have to be fortified with calcium, vit D and if possible iodine.

I just get supermarket own unless alpro or oatly are on offer

I just make sure I use an unsweetened one. I've used supermarket own brands, oatly and alpro. I haven't noticed much taste difference between them. The only difference I notice is between the versions of oatly like 'whole' and 'barista'.

We use Mooala! Unsweetened and only 3 ingredients (oats, water, salt).

Oatly Barista is the one recommended by dieticians because it's the closest to cows milk nutritionally. Oato is also very good (but more expensive). Compare nutritional labels to that one to see how close they are.

My little one loves the Asda own brand! And it’s not expensive and has the things they need in it
I found this very useful fulll
