Infant dyschezia/ constipation? Wrong formula?

So I learned about id not long ago when my baby was grunting and pushing for hours while sleeping before poo every single morning.. looked like she was constipated.

Few days ago she had a big poop then nothing for days I understand babies can go days without it but she looked so uncomfortable the grounting even crying it was sooooo different this time I was 100% sure she’s constipated.
Looked like she was in pain when pushing and stuff.. Tried to help with everything, she screamed the other day and half an hour after that, she pood and it was soft!!!

I read it it’s only constipation if it’s pebbled like of solid… so she had the id again.. but straight after we’re having another one for days again.. is this normal? Can’t see how it’s not constipation .. I understand it’s not solid and stuff and they learning which muscles to use to push but we never went days like this before.. and now we’re having the same problem again…

It’s only happening since I stopped combi feeding and exclusively formula feeding, I use Kendamil if anyone was in a similar situation and have any advice, thank you.

Formula fed babies do poop less so she’s probably just adjusting. If the poo is soft, despite the straining, it’s not classed as constipation. You might find she will settle in to a rhythm as she gets used to being formula fed.

do you think? I’m always so worried I really hope x

Mines in kendamil too and struggling with her poops, from what I read it is infant dyschezia but I have our 6 week check up tomorrow so will speak to HV. My little girl strains a lot throughout the day and gets upset, we’re currently on day 3 of her straining and no poop..

yes same she gets so upset. She poo and then it’s like not enough coming out so she’s still trying and getting upset. I went to the gp with it apparently it’s normal at this age that’s what they told me. I just hate seeing her struggles. However I did buy the frida baby windi I was really against it first but she was crying to much so I had a go and oh my god!!! I won’t use it often but it was definitely a life saver she had so much poop coming out and had a big nap after because she was so content again. The gp gave us something different as the frida baby windi but it was a little bit “ medicine thingy” so I just chose the windi as it’s nothing on it x

she’s not awful with her crying like throughout the day she’ll have periods of crying for 10-15 mins on and off and then settle down, and when she does poop she doesn’t seem in any pain at all. I think the worst thing is when she’s not pooped for a day or two, she has the witching hour between 5-7 and this makes it so much worse. Like tonight she’s pooped already so 5-7 wasn’t as bad at all, whereas last night she was unsettled. It’s hard when they say it’s normal but your baby looks in pain. I hope it resolves soon for you xx

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.
