We celebrated my eldest son’s 5th birthday this week, so I thought I’d share his birth story here (plus this pic of my husband “recovering” from childbirth 🤣). Despite him arriving early at 34 weeks, it was such a calm, positive birth at Darent Valley, and I loved every minute of it.
My birth definitely didn’t go “to plan”! But in what could have been a super stressful situation (preterm labour at 34 weeks), I was able to stay calm and in control. It made me realise how birth could actually feel when we are equipped with the right tools! ☺️
If you're planning a hospital birth, or if there is a chance your baby may come early, take a read (link in comments) as you may find it reassuring ❤️

haha to be honest I can’t knock the food in hospital - the midwives gave me the best jacket potato ever after I gave birth to my first baby 😋 I missed that after I had a homebirth with my third baby!
