Do I reallyyyy need Maternity underwear?
Hey there! So I’m approaching 20 weeks pregnant pretty quickly!
But I don’t even have a small bump yet, I was fully expecting to show around the 15 week mark because of how painfully huge my stomach was in my first few weeks of pregnancy (bloating I guess)
I hateeee granny panties and thongs, they look so ugly and feel so uncomfortable to me, i usually stick to hipster cut or cheeky underwear, i feel like they’re the most comfortable and flattering.
So my question is, are maternity underwear a must for everyone? Is there gonna be a point in my pregnancy/post partum where I’ll wish for them? Same with maternity pants, I feel like theyd be great for a big bump to provide some support but there’s nothing to support atm. I just don’t wanna waste money on something I won’t use.

Target has cotton based boy shorts that have the criss-cross in the front and they are SUPER stretchy. They will accommodate what ever size bump you will have I think and without being tight. But they also look great on a small belly too. Great both ways.

With my first pregnancy I did not buy any maternity underwear. I just wore what I always wore. This time around I mostly only wear thongs and they are getting too tight so I am switching to maternity underwear. As long as your comfortable and your underwear are not hurting you then you should be fine🤷🏻♀️
I would buy pants with stretchy waistband for now. Like pants without zippers that you just pull up. I wore some like that during my first pregnancy and thats what I plan to do now with my second bc i can also use it after birth. If it gets uncomfortable when im further along then I will buy maternity pants
Yeah I also want to add that I doubt any underwear could give real support. We can use maternity belts for that. For me it only annoyed me so I found the ones that don’t go up and bite into my belly.
Nah, girl… you do you. I stuck with a bigger size in the hipster style in my first pregnancy. This time around, I wanted the granny panty style kind to go over my belly… I’m also on the heavier side and 37 though… I say, do what feels comfortable for you.

I just bought the same underwear I normally wear just one size up

i got those too for my first pregnancy and they remain my favorites. Highly recommend. Work great under csection scar too
This is my second pregnancy and didn’t even know they made maternity panties lol. I was just fine in my regular underwear. Now, I brought maternity pants and barely wore them. It was a waste of money to me. I mostly wore sweats or leggings
This is a good question I got some granny panties cs it's more convenient with my bump , any other undies just don't feel comfortable on me but I'll wear whatever is comfortable for you honestly it just all depends on your body and what material you like
Also with the bigger size granny panties I can pull them over my belly since I got them in a way bigger size than I am and their 100 percent cotton
I didn’t realize there was maternity underwear 😂 I just stuck to my cheeksters and bikini undies.
