However you want to define unhealthy/toxic; you argue a lot, don’t work on your relationship, go days without speaking, or all the way up to ignoring & never resolving issues, hiding finances, infidelity, abuse, etc.
I just want to give some women on here hope that if their relationship doesn’t seem healthy, there are many living similar lives :) Nobody deserves to be treated like crap, men or women.
I know a few women who married men who cheated on them & then act like their lives are perfect now, but some ignore it or allow it or don’t even know if he’s still cheating…so I know there are many more women living in toxicity & not sticking to their own deal-breakers.
A lot of women on here seem critical & judgemental to others, telling them to leave their man when they look for advice.

It was really toxic at one point, to the point where we both considered leaving.
We have worked through a lot in the past two years. And I’m so glad that we were able to get past some things. Other things are a work in progress and unhealthy habits sometimes crop up.
But… I’m so so so glad we’re together and growing as a couple. I look at our family and am happy with what we have.
We’re definitely not perfect but we love eachother and our kids.

Regarding the women who comment telling others to leave.
I think some situations are no brainers.. like inexcusable.
Other situations need more context and can be quite biased.
I love that women want to support eachother and that we don’t want our sisters to deal with the shit they have to, so we default say “leave” or things to uplift.
Sometimes.. leaving isn’t always the BEST option. At the end of the day, it’s for the person to make their own judgement, as they know their situation better than anyone else. I personally wouldn’t be swayed by online opinions.

I think it went from unhealthy to healthy. My husband and I aren’t perfect and we’re working to change ourselves, our ways to become a better person and partner.
My husband cheated on me back in late 2022 to early 2023 . We also got married in early 2022. I decided to stay and work through it with open communication, transparency and change with actions. Since then, our relationship/marriage was improving and became better then I got pregnant and had our second baby 8 months ago. Also, we’ve been together long term and I hate to see it all go. I also don’t give up that easily and will fight for the relationship/marriage. If it’s fixable, why not try?
I had a best friend for about 7+ years and our friendship broke because I decided to stay with my husband and work things out. In all honesty, I have always felt the friendship was one sided.
I’m not the one to tell anyone to leave their relationship though as that’s up to them. I would give my piece of advice though.

I dunno, I typically only give the wisdom of “the longer you stay the harder leaving gets” especially when people are already posting saying their considering leaving their current relationship or situation

Im definitely one of those people telling women to leave because I feel like (for the most part) they know they should leave and they want to but they need validation even if it’s from the internet. And some of the things I see are obvious red flags or problematic situations. I know I’m also only hearing one side which is why I also advocate for therapy because a lot of times a professional is needed to help people see the issues within them selves so they don’t end up in the same situation. I don’t think I’ll every tell a person to stay with there partner if they’ve already communicated that they feel unloved, under appreciated or under valued. And there partner doesn’t seem to care

I was in a toxic relationship. He would use my money and buy alcohol and he wasnt a nice drunk. It was awful. He always said he'd kill me or my family if I left, tracked where I was. I tried to leave several times but it never worked and everytime he found me he'd bring me right back and beat me. So instead of filing for divorce I made sure he found me 'cheating'(the other guy knew what was happening) and when he caught me the other guy stood up to protect. Then I finally filed for divorce the next day, got a new phone, a new bank account, and moved to my parents house since they moved to a new house. Surprisingly the guy that protected me asked me on a date like 3 months later and now we've been married for 6 years. This marriage is full of love and happiness. I never knew i could be loved this way.
