What are your top 2 books to research free birthing at home? (Water birth in a birthing pool specifically). We are trying to get a doula or midwife but so far insurance isnt willing to pay for it and the only 2 doctors my insurance covers in my area are very sketchy. Ive seen them both and am using the less negative one for prenatal appointments but I wont be allowing them anywhere near me in birth due to some comments pushing induction. I have had one baby already with 0 complications during before and after delivery. This pregnancy is going just as smooth. Im looking for resources to learn about signs of complications, pushing positions, at home pain management like breathing exercises and what to do during before and after an at home water birth.

Hypo-birthing by Siobhan
Miller ! This book changed my perspective on labour and I managed a 2.49 hour labour due to it ! Amazing breathing exercises, positive birth stories and science of your uterus is incredible! Good luck x

I can't think of any books specifically about freebirthing, I've read tons of birth books years ago and don't really remember the names of any, but feel free to reach out. I had 2 free births and have always been prepared just in case for all of my births (5). I am a doula but I am also pregnant right now. You might look to see if you can find a doula still in training for cheap or free, or a virtual doula. There are many who won't attend a freebirth however.

Homebirth on your own terms by Heather baker! Absolutely love it. I recommend it to everyone. Feel free to message me if you want to chat or ask any questions
