Teething at 8 weeks old

They can teethe for months before any teeth actually come though. It’s a very long process unfortunately x

Sadly, they’re never too young. Some baby’s are born with teeth 😬
As Yasmin said, it’s a long process and can take a long time for the actual teeth to pierce through the gum. A lot of the time, it’s the teeth moving around under the gum that’s causing the symptoms.
My LG has been teething since 4 months and still doesn’t have any teeth at 7 months.

Good news is the discomfort doesn’t last the entire time. In my experience, they’re uncomfortable for a few days and then it passes until the next flare up.

Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can give at 8 weeks to help but Calpol is very helpful if you feel they’re in pain with it.

It's never too early.. I remember when I had my oldest, there was a baby born the same day with teeth. All the nurses were talking about it.. he was a big one, only a tooth or two peeking out, but he had them.

There's something that can present like teething but is just like a blister under the skin, Epstein pearls. Could be worth taking a look in to?

I think that’s the worst part tbh, i’ve been looking online and there’s nothing I can give him until he’s three months🥲 i’ll try calpol and hopefully his discomfort will subside x

if you’re breastfeeding you can give him frozen milk popsicles. They really help. And if you’ve got any teething toys, pop them in the fridge and hold in his mouth so he can “chew” on.

It really is horrible. I hope it doesn’t last long for you both x

He has his 8week jabs on Tuesday so I’ll mention that to the doctor! Thank you x

Both my babies cut teeth at 3 months xx

Same thing happened to my son, I thought no way it's teething but in hindsight he was teething from about 8 weeks and had 2 teeth fully out by 4 months, 8 by 8 months and everything except his second molars by 11 months. Just about to turn 2 and the final pair of molars at the top are being uncharacteristically stubborn.
I found frozen breastmilk helped, teethers from the fridge and calpol

My baby started teaching at 3 months old, every baby is different. After about 2 weeks of her teething she had her two bottom teeth lol goodluck

my boy started teething from 8 weeks, he’s only just gotten his first tooth now though at 7 months old. it was hell for ages but i 100% recommend the gel teethers that go in the freezer

Mines been teething for weeks and she’s just turned 16 weeks.

My grandma was born with 2 teeth lol my son started teething at 2 1/2 months and is now 3 1/2 months and no teeth but I think I can see 4!!!! 😅
