Am I wrong?

It’s my husband’s birthday today. Me and him are going through a lot and could be headed for divorce, but I have a question for you ladies. He recently just started rebuilding a relationship with his son, who he hasn’t seen in 6 years because the child’s mother moved and didn’t let him have contact. I’m all for him being back in his son’s life—I actually encouraged him.

Now, he told me a couple of weeks ago that he was going to see his son for his birthday. We have 2 kids of our own. Am I tripping about him not spending time with my 2 girls? I had my daughter call him at 9am to tell him happy birthday, and he sent me a text saying he’d call me back when he got home because he was checking out of his hotel. That was at 9am. He didn’t call until around 4:40pm, and I didn’t answer because I felt like he couldn’t give my daughter 5 minutes earlier to say happy birthday to him. He was telling people “thank you” on Facebook before he even called back.

Am I wrong for not answering the phone?

Hmmm hard to say…did he have a good reason why he waited to call?

no, he said he had to get ready to check out of his hotel but it was 9am like check out ain’t until like 11-12 so it definitely rubbed me the wrong way.

Ehhh idk mama I don’t think I would have answered the phone either. I’m with you if he’s thanking people on Facebook he had time to pick the phone back up to call his daughter…. Something seems a little off to me. I understand him wanting to rekindle his relationship with his son but what about his current relationships with his girls? I would think he would be worried about them getting jealous ya know? He should be evenly spreading the dad love in my opinion.
