(Extreme phobia of sick)
My 16month old has been vomiting since Friday night, my worst nightmare. However, to add to this we’re supposed to be flying to France tomorrow.
I’m an anxious mess, what would you do?!
My biggest worry is one of us will catch it, if it’s contagious and I’ll be stuck in a foreign country with family vomiting. We’re going with 5 others!
When would Myself & husband catch it? Would we know if it’s something contagious by tomorrow?
I know to anyone who’s not heard of this phobia, I sound ridiculous. But this was a scenario going around my head for months prior already! Now it’s become reality and I’m petrified.

I have this too. From experience I’ve caught it from my son and it was usually the next day- both me and my husband caught it. but I have had it once when it was 5 days after. But normally it’s very quick after they start. Is he still being sick?

I haven't had my baby yet so can't advise on likelihood of catching the bug/timeframes etc, but just wanted to let you know I empathise.
I've struggled with emetophobia my whole life (although better now than I was) and I understand how upsetting it is.
Have you ever had any help for it? If so, are there any coping mechanisms you can draw upon now?
