How long did it take to grasp potty training?

Also tells you when he's about to poo but runs off so I've caught some poos but I don't think that counts 😂

He’s still young! Could be worth offering underwear or diaper every day until you’re ready to try again more intentionally 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve heard it’s more of a challenge with boys

To grasp the idea? Sure maybe 7 but he was no where near done having accidents one week into potty training.

Quite quickly got the idea of potty training but still a working progress and she doesn’t pee at nursery etc x

We started in the March when he was 2 years 9 months. He finally cracked it in July when he was 3years 1 month 😅 it was a long ride

If they’re ready you can do it in a few days, if they’re not ready it takes longer. I think my son was almost 3 when we did it but we skipped the potty and put him straight on the toilet. It took 2 days and after that he never had an accident at home, only at a friends house or nursery when he was too busy playing. My daughter is almost 2 but def not ready yet.

I would say it took her nearly a month or 2 for us to say she’s confidently toilet trained! We didn’t start her early either, she was showing signs of readiness from 18 months & it was more to help with her constipation. Just keep at it! If you’re finding it’s still a bit of a struggle after a month, maybe take a break and then restart.

i tried potty training my son last august before he turned 3 at the end of august. he had lots of accidents, he wasn’t ready. i put him back in nappies and in october half term when he was off nursery, i tried again and he cracked it on the first day! we did the three day potty training method and he didn’t have any accidents those three days, on the fourth day when we finally put clothes on him he had one accident but didn’t have any accidents again! its all about when your child is ready as well. as much as we like to get them potty trained as soon as possible (which i felt so guilty as a mum that i couldn’t even tho i tried so hard), you can’t potty train a child that isn’t ready for it xx

It took under 5 days with my boys. I just waited till they showed signs of readiness and they got the hang of it right away. They both became fully potty trained a month before their 3rd birthdays.

My LO is 25 months I’ve been playing role play with his teddies and it did help a bit.
But the real life change has been the toilet seat with the ladder!
I’ve introduced that one week ago (green of course as it’s ’hulk’ toilet) lol
And he is now smashing it
He even sit on the potty independently now as I have only one upstairs toilet.
Been potty training for two months ish (only weekends)
And within a week with the ladder he is doing it!

My son was 2 years and 8 months, grasped it in 1 day. When he was 2years6 months we tried and he really wasn’t ready, he kept having accidents, couldn’t get to the toilet in time. When we tried 2 months later, he did 1 wee on the potty/toilet and that was it, got it straight away! Made the toilet every time and didn’t have a single accident x

Id keep with it! For my daughter it definitely took a bit but now we’re in a routine, when we wake up I’m like okay let’s go potty she’ll grab a yogurt/applesauce pouch and we walk to the potty and I set her down and she’ll go. I do that every morning and right before bed time (well bring a book -no pouch). During the day it’s harder cause she’s with my sister while I’m at work and I know she’s not working on it with her. BUT I know she’s starting to get it cause she’ll hold her diaper and she’s like “momma peeeee/poo” and she’ll run to the bathroom sometimes I miss the poo cause she’s quick or she has already gone. I need to really work on it over the weekend cause she’s now at the stage of putting her hands IN her diaper 🙄BUT if you’re a stay at home mom maybe set a timer for like every hour - my mom told me to just leave the diaper off but my daughter likes to cuddle and my husband and I have been peed on way too many times 🤣🥲

About 3 days for wees but another month for poos.

Update....he went over to the potty and sat down and had a wee without any guidance! Wahooo 🎉🥳
