I’m reaching out here which I don’t normally do, I really believe I may need to speak to my gp, but this is my second pregnancy and I’m terrified! I’m terrified of something happened to my baby at and they’ll say at my 20 week scan (on Friday)! I’m terrified somethings going to happen to either of us during birth. I also have a three year old. It’s terrible, it’s stopping me from just leaving the house, or doing anything! I don’t know how I can go 20 more weeks of this fear! I’m not feeling regular kicks or anything yet, and I’m just scared everything I’m doing is wrong even though I know I’m not! I’m waking up 5/6 a night because of it!
Is anyone feeling what I’m feeling or is it just me?

Fear can be crippling🥺 I hope you’d get past the fear and enjoy your journey. Don’t get cheated out of the beauty of carrying a child because of fear. I’m sending you love and loads of hugs at this time. I hope the remaining 20weeks is beautiful for you and your baby❤️

Hey feel free to message me im feeling exactly the same ! Anxiety wise! Here if you ever need a rant or chat sometimes it helps to off load! Im also 20 weeks and my scan is Friday too! ✨️ good luck mumma your doing amazing!

Wanted to add that it’s definitely not just you! Just had my 20 week scan this morning and hardly slept a wink last night due to anxiety that something is wrong with the baby - fortunately all is okay but I totally understand how you feel. Sending you all lots of love ❤️

Hello! I would say if your anxiety is affecting you this much definitely reach out to your GP or speak to your midwife. I don’t know where you’re based (and imagine most places are the same) but if it’s UK the perinatal mental health service is pretty rapid and your mental health needs will be treated urgently. As someone who has done a few rounds of CBT, I referred myself again when I found out I was pregnant for very similar reasons to you and it has really helped.
