Transition houses
Can I go to any transition house in lower mainland or even BC? The ones close to me are always so full but I don’t know if I have a right go to another place :/

If you are seeking shelter from violence yes, you can. If you are seeking housing for addiction services you need a referral from a treatment center or from detox I believe. The Addiction Recovery Program or Complex Care Housing offers transition for up to 3 years. I hope you find the peace you’re looking for. The waitlist for either can be very long and even if you are unsure if you qualify for either you should try and get on as many lists as possible.
Thank you. I’m trying to escape an abusive relationship (not addiction related) but I believe referrals are probably a way to go in this case too.
