Advice on if it’s okay to feed more than 3oz

My daughter is 3 weeks old and usually at night she is starting to cluster feed we will give her 3oz bottle cuz that’s her normal feeding sometimes 2oz then another oz but sometimes she acts like she’s still starving and for newborns it’s normally 2 to 3oz can you give them 4oz? Or is that to much? I don’t want to over feed her I cry a lot at night and makes me feel bad 😔

at 3 weeks 4oz should be fine. as long as she isnt spitting up a significant amount i would think it was okay. my son was in the nicu and they were giving him 3-4oz before he was discharged at 2 weeks and 2 days old lol he was packing on weight but very happy and full

she's cluster feeding because if you were breastfeeding it would be stimulating your supply giving her more food won't help but it doesn't last forever mama just feed her what she needs everytime she's hungry

Alrighty! She’s not a big spitter upper she’s only done it once or twice

I always went by “if they are hungry, feed them”.

Shi mine is 3 weeks and he damn near drinks 5 oz so if they are hungry definitely feed them as much as they want

Thank you girls so much!! My husband and I have been wondering we did feed her a couple more ounces once she crys and wants more she’s growing so fast and is healthy! ❤️❤️

At three weeks my daughter was drinking 4 then I had to move her up to 5 oz as she was showing hunger signs after 4 oz and she was fine. She’s now 12 weeks Thursday and my gosh she’s plumping out 🤣. Since birth she never dropped weight just gained and has been bang middle on percentile . So, I say give her because a fed baby is a happy baby . Don’t look at the tin do what you know best!

this was my daughter at three weeks🤣. She’s now 12 and still hungry had to put her on 7 scoops early 😩.

Always go by your baby's cues. If they're full they'll stop feeding. My baby girl is 4 weeks old and I have her on 120ml atm. Sometimes she'll only drink 60 or 90. They'll let you know 🩷

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Hi ya'll

Is anyone else's 4 month old randomly screeching now? I'm not sure what to do and she's been doing this for the past two days. She's usually a quiet happy baby so im not sure why she's doing this now. Aby suggestions?

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?
