How did your older one (4) react when little ones came along?

It seems mine wants me to be a servant for him and baby him. Yes we are close and I’ve been responsive to his needs. But the requests are starting to feel like entitled demands.

I don’t have a second yet (pregnant with second) but my kid just turned 3 and he’s also started doing that. I shut it down real quick by just looking at him confused and saying “oh no it’s not nice to talk to mommy like that. We can say “hey mommy may I please… or could I please have…” and he usually repeats it and I say thank you papi and smile at him 😂 I had to remind him quite often but the consistency actually works. He switches his behavior and needs less and less reminders now.
