Random question but does anyone know what UK clothes brands are good for skinny toddlers?? My 3.5 year old is in size 2-3 for length (18-24 months at Next) but only 12-18 months for his waist. His trousers are either up above his ankles or like clown trousers and can’t stay up! I know most have drawstrings but I don’t want to do them up too tight or he won’t be able to get them down at nursery to go to the toilet. At a bit of a loss what to buy x

Following this post as my little boy is so small (really short legs) and also struggling to find clothes that fit!!

I buy Carters leggings on vinted. It’s an American brand but I find them narrower on the waist.

H&M do a good range in adjustable trousers, with the buttons in the waistline
Their sizing does run quite big though

Both my daughters are like this, so I buy jojo maman bebe trousers/shorts as they do adjustable waist

Boden, we always need to size up, but it goes equally for the waist and lenght. And returns are easy if they don't fit.
Frugi, has a comfy tight waist and longish lenght, for sure they will stay up without being too tight. Worth giving it a try. And they are well made, will last, worth the price.
H&M, Avoid the joggers but have a look at the chinos with adjustable waist. However they have buttons and zipper in the front so children still need your help to pull them up and down.
Carter's, runs small, not very common in the UK but you can find them once in a while in outlets.

My boys are petite as well, I’ve found Next, Nutmeg and Matalan to be on the smaller side. H&M and Primark are always on the bigger side

H&M are good for adjustable leggings and jeans: my daughter is 3 but wears age 4 as tall for her age. She lives in H&M and Zara x

Thanks everyone for the tips 😊 x
