I do not like how the new way to teach diversity through kid shows is victimizing their culture. For example, I watched an episode where Josh was talking about being Filipino and a chunk of it was “ being judged by the color of his skin” I’m Mexican, don’t give my baby a complex.
I love the wiggles because there are many episodes about diversity but it’s all positive and educational. It celebrates it. But it also doesn’t demonize white people.
Celebrate culture and diversity with everyone and anyone . Stop putting People against each other.

I've never heard of a filipino being judged for their colour. (My husband is filipino)
The reality is that some kids face colorism really young, from their own families.
So maybe blues clues ain’t the show for your house, but that episode might’ve had a huge hand in helping another kid in an unsafe household.
Representations matter because more than just our lives matter. Acknowledging that doesn’t mean you have to be okay with watching it, just means you have an understanding of why they ever made it part of the show to begin with.
If you don’t like it, then don’t watch. But lots of kids are in fact judged the color of their skin. So it’s good to have media to help them
in the us, anyone who is not white will be judged for not being white at some point. whether people want to admit it or not, a lot of people in america are racist as fuck against anyone who could possibly be seen as not a white american. so it’s important that people who are underrepresented have representation (including women and the lgbtq+ community) and it’s important to teach all children that some groups of people are judged because they don’t look like 👦🏼 or because of who they love and that that’s not okay at all, it’s unacceptable, and we need to stand up for people when they inevitably get judged for who they are at some point in their lives.
Again, some kids face colorism from their own parents. Or grandparents, or caregivers, or teachers or peers & classmates.
Thankfully yours & those around you don’t! But blues clues airs world wide!!

My son loves blues clues, his birthday was last Friday and we did a blues clues themed party.. now I’ve seen every single episode of the new ‘blues clues and you’ and I will say that I don’t believe it should be excluded when it’s something kids will most likely actually face later on in life. I’m pretty sure a lot of us have experienced being judged for a color. I don’t see no ill intent behind it, only a lesson to learn because it is something that many children face. My son is mixed and I have to prepare myself for the day he comes home for being judged by the color of his skin because IT WILL HAPPEN. If you wanna be sensitive to a show on tv, then the show isn’t for your child. Even as a white woman I’ve experienced racism.I think to take it as just a Filipino color thing is hilarious because it’s actually a worldwide statement that people of all colors indeed get judged by the color of their skin. We all learned about racism,why shouldn’t our children?let’s not forget history now
My brother is Guatemalan & Scandinavian, I am Native American & Scandinavian from our mom. His entire life from age 3 to now he's had comments on his skin color. It was really hard for him to grow up with me bc he was shy and embarrassed to say I was his younger sister. Kids would make comments "You gonna come cut my grass?" "Aw I only have 2 pesos" things that were supposed to be funny in nature but made my brother try to be white growing up in a rich area of all white people. It was horrible.
1 time he was pulled over wearing scrubs & his Massachusetts Hospital badge... he's an Admin for a major hospital... I'm 30 so he's 34 now. Anyway he was pulled over during covid & severely questioned, antagonized, harassed because he seemed impaired.. he was working 70 hour work weeks & looked like SHIT I'm sure. He only went home 1 or 2 days a week bc it was easier to sleep In his office during lockdown etc. In a sleepy haze he asked the mass officer if he should call his lawyer because he's exhausted.
Yet all his white coworkers would never be treated that way period. 1 time I was pulled over with a opened box of beer, that's considered open container even if non of the beers are open. I was given a slap on the wrist, officer moved it to my trunk, I was buzzed!
Same happened when my brother was 22 living life between work & college. He was sober & got charged with open container because of his skin color. Period.
I agree. I also don’t like the new Steve anyway
