Do I need to just chill or would you also get slightly annoyed with this?
So I have two boys and am pregnant with my third, my boys are 16 months apart so pretty darn close in age and third baby is about 22 months apart from my 2nd. Obviously my first two are boys and I just found out my third is a girl. My in laws were basically the same exact way (2 boys, 1 girl, all close in age). They already talk about how our boys are basically identical to how their boys were and it’s kinda been annoying me but now that we know the third is a girl I feel like I’m gonna hear about our families being so similar all the time. I know it’s kinda silly to be annoyed about but idk.

I think it’s natural for people to draw comparisons to what they know. And this is what they are proud of and can relate to. Sure it’s annoying and eye rolling. But you can choose to let it annoy you or you can shrug it off.
My inlaws keep telling me that my baby boy is identical to his father. We both don’t see it and I just reply with “oh really?” 🤷🏻♀️
You need to chill. If your in laws already bothered you so much with the first two boys, then you would have left a significantly larger gap before trying for the new baby! That would have shut them up! But you didn’t. So chill. 😂
