Birth guilt

Hi all, I just wanted to know if it was normal to feel birth guilt, my baby was born 6 months ago and all I do is think about his birth which ended in an emergency c section, i feel so much guilt that my body failed me, I had a natural birth with first son. I had always wanted a water birth and to go in to labour naturally but ended up being induced both times, I vomited throughout both births and just feel like my body isn’t made to give birth. I hear loads about hypnobirthing and how wonderful and calm some women’s births are and I feel sad I never had that and wonder if I could have to done something different.

Neither of my births went to “plan”. I did get the vaginal birth I wanted second time but can’t say it was calm 😂 I said never again straight after. I know some people love it but I’ve had to accept that I don’t my body doesn’t do things in a straight forward way and that’s ok. As long as you and baby are safe and ok that’s the main thing. Nothing else matters

I think it's very normal to have those feelings as long as it's not affecting your mental health. Whilst we do our research for the kind of birth we want, we all come across all these people who had natural births at home, that we should trust our bodies because that's what they were made for, like no woman ever died giving birth before C-sections and so many procedures were introduced to help us and our babies. Some women will have easy births but most don't, just like all our bodies are different. If it helps, I still feel guilty I couldn't do the golden hour with my son and his first feed was a bottle because I had to be rushed to theatre, but I'm still grateful to my body because it made a perfect little human, it just struggled to push it out!

Your body did exactly what I needed to do to get your baby here whether that was a vaginal or c section. All births are beautiful and your body didnt fail you. I had an emergency c section with my first baby and it was an overall horrific experience. It took a long time for me to come to terms with. It takes time, but I promise you'll feel like yourself again and you will be able to push all that guilt aside.

I had a c section and I was wishing to have a c section. Please don’t feel guilty. Your body did not fail you at all.

So much of medicine force people to have babies at a pre determined time.

My dad was over 4 weeks overdue and my nonna had to push him out.

Anxiety with the bump.

I’m 36 weeks pregnant and I’ve suddenly developed a massive anxiety around anyone standing behind me. My husband is annoying me so much because even though I’ve told him how it makes me feel, he’s continued doing stuff in our kitchen (that is tiny anyway) and sliding past me to grab things. I know the baby is safe even if I were to bump the bump a little but even the thought of it is still making extremely anxious. How do I cope with this feeling and is anyone else going through the same sort of thing?

So I’m 20 weeks pregnant and I went to the hospital for light bleeding when I wipe ( not ever time though).. the doctor told me it was due to sex and that my cervix was irritated has anyone else experienced this? And or know way to just calm my anxiety from it

Breathless and feeling like I need to be sitting constantly!

Has anyone else been feeling this way as they're getting closer to their due date?

I attempted to change our bedding this evening and had to call my husband for back up as I literally felt like my lungs were going to explode just trying to reach over to put the sheet on.

I'm huffing and puffing just getting my toddler into his pjs, and I was sat down! Like what is going on 😮‍💨🥲

Everything has been check ie bloods etc so I think it's just general pregnancy as I'm now 38 weeks. My bump feels like it weighs about 100lbs 😭
