Is anyone else really anxious about introducing the allergens when weaning or is it just me? Baby has been really enjoying her weaning journey but I've only introduced gluten so far because I'm so worried about allergens. Shes had a couple of minor allergic reactions (same allergies as me, aubergine and pumpkin) but there's no family history on either side of anaphylaxis or anything and I know the later you wait to introduce the main allergens, the higher the risk of reaction. But I found these little skin rashes stressful enough and now I'm so worried about introducing the main allergens! Does anyone else feel like this? How do you overcome this?

Yess I was super nervous about allergens! I’m allergic to nuts, aubergines and chickpeas! (But also, like me, you may not have an actual aubergine allergy, it’s just a high histamine food which cause allergy type reactions for a lot of people!)
the chance of baby having an allergic reaction is less likely than them not having one. That’s what I try to remind myself. I’ve been particularly scared of nuts because it means that his saliva and vomit can cause me to have a reaction. But I’ve pushed through and he seems to love peanut butter and has had it about 5 times now. It’s super stressful, but just try to remember it’s unlikely they’ll be allergic xx
