Other than maternity pay/allowance, on top of child benefit, there’s a health start card, which gives you £34 a month towards fresh & formula milk as well as Vegetables & pulses fresh/frozen& tinned. www.healthystart.co.uk. It can be back to when your baby was born & stops at 4 yo.

If you’ve passed maternity pay/allowance period, then there’s an additional child element that you can apply for on UC. It’s £339 ish for your first child and £300 roughly for your second child and is capped at two children. https://www.gov.uk/universal-credit/what-youll-get

Also buying and selling clothes on Vinted has been a saving grace. I made £500 my first month.

If you’re on universal credit, a lot of attractions/events do a concession price. I’d call ahead or check the website but most places do a heavily discounted rate on entry.

I also find that buying nappies in bulk on onbuy website drastically reduces the cost by almost 50% compared to buying from high street supermarkets. X

Yes it can be back dated, mine was back dated by 4 months. Call them and ask how far it can be back dated for your little one. The number is: 03003307010

sorry I missed the word “dated” out in my previous post. X
