Hi all. So I'm due in November and starting to feel the baby-name pressure. I'd like to have a short list of 3 names or so and decide when baby's here, but at the moment there is only 1 name my husband and I agree on. Unfortunately, my daughter has just started school and one of her best friends in her class has the same name my hubby and I like .
Part of me thinks she's only young and her friends will chop and change, she might not be as close to this friend in a year and that shouldn't stop us from using the name - we might have to anyway as it's the only one we both like at the moment.
But also, selfishly, I don't want my daughter to be introduced to her new baby sister and immediately associate her with her school friend. I want her to see her baby sister as someone completely special and different to everyone else in her life.
What do you think? Is this a dealbreaker?

Not a deal breaker!

Definitely not a deal breaker, I think you'd regret not choosing the name in the future

Not a dealbreaker, I’d use the name you like.

Use the name

Wouldn’t bother me at all! I love the name Olivia which is the same name as my cousins daughter and had I had another girl I would have used it xx

I’m naming my baby a name that my lil cousin’s friend has. Very coincidental but I love her friend and her friends mom. We have so much in common. My son however doesn’t like this little girl and says she’s sassy. He wasn’t feeling the name at first but I told him your sister isn’t that girl and you can always give her a nickname name. Names are common so your daughter will be fine.
