I had my 37 week growth scan at Jessops on Thursday and due to babies size they are saying I need to be induced. I’ve got an appointment this week to decide on the date. I’ve seen a post where people had to wait days to be called in and this concerns me because they are wanting me to be induced as baby might be big. If I say yes I’m going to want a guarantee I’ll be in that day because if I have to wait I’ll be so stressed they’ll be too big and have complications. Is the waiting list for everyone and do they do it for everyone or does it depend on how busy they are?

Personally I would request further checks before you go down the induction route! I was told to be induced at 37 weeks due to a growth scan - turns out it was an anomaly - I ended up being induced at 41 weeks due to being overdue and it took a week for me to go into labour after they process had begun! Defo look into options - happy to chat over message if you want!

I was induced due to my little one being small due to placental function and they wanted him out to help him grow.
I was lucky, i had my 39 week scan and I was induced the next day with pessary 24 hours later was put on the waters list and went home and got called back in two hours later so it’s not always a long wait, it very much depends on lots of factors how long you have to wait… how busy they already are, your risk factor, how many people get added to list after you and are higher risk, how quickly other births happen and staff become available etc.
One thing to think about is what’s the alternative, as to let it happen naturally will also be a wait ☺️

I was induced at 41 weeks because baby didn’t want to come out! Took 2 rounds of the pessary for her to eventually to come out 4 days later - not a quick process

I was booked in for an induction bang on 37 weeks, I was in and out of hospital during my pregnancy due to complications but just to be reassured the last time I was admitted into the hospital was close to my induction date so I just told them I'd prefer to stay until I give birth, I stayed a week and the day came.. But then because of the waiting list they were a day late
