Sickness
I need yalls help, so my 4 year old has been sick for almost 3 full weeks now, We first took him to quick care and they said he had strep so they put him on an antibiotic and he finished it well a week later he got this brutal cough and snotty nose/runny nose, and fever, we went back to the quick care they said he was negative for strep and his flu and covid was inconclusive, But he had an ear infection so they put him on another antibiotic , We went to another walk in just to get a second opinion and also he got this terrible rash they said the same thing just for him to start the antibiotic, Well we are about a week into this 2nd antibiotic and he still has a bad cough, fever, & congestion. I called his actual dr and they cant get him in, So im stuck on what to do or where to go, We are thinking the ER next. But if anyone has any suggestions on where to go or what to do please do, Cause I am just at lost on what to do, And I want him to get better, It breaks my heart with him being sick like this for this long.

Sadly it’s not un unusual for there to be back to back illnesses. This happened to my husband before. I would definitely go to ER if he’s had fever for more than 5 days. Prolonged fever is bad for the brain. Strep can turn into Scarlett fever so I’d be a little concerned with the rash and prob seek a a third opinion if possible.
