I literally cannot keep up with the cost of food lol!! I do a weekly shop but find im spending what feels like so much more! I'm wondering if people find it cheaper and better to do a big monthly shop? Then just top up on fresh stuff throughout the month? Can anyone advise? What is your shopping costs for 1 adults and a toddler?
For context we do eat a lot of fresh food, fruit and veg etc

We have 3 cats too so that does add up as well. But I'd say around 120 a week šš«£

Ā£100- Ā£115 most weeks i would say. Its so expensive. We do a lot of fresh stuff too and it really drives the price up š«

Yeah thatās the same with me I spend Ā£250 a month but it doesnāt even last a month. Last month I spent Ā£300 it didnāt last ā¹ļø

£70ish average on the weekly Tesco shop, and maybe another £10-30 on top up shops. Mostly fruit or reduced bits at our local coop.
Iāve never liked the idea of the big monthly shop, as what we eat varies so much week to week that I donāt think it would work out any better for us - maybe for those who have a more set meal rotation.
We do a Costco shop maybe every 3 months ish but thatās not food, more so household things like washing powder, dishwasher tablets, cat litter etc. Sometimes we splash out and get meat from there but usually only things we struggle to get at Tesco or if itās on a good offer as often itās not worth it.
If you have uber eats and local supermarkets on Mondays at the moment they do half price fruit and veg - even with the service charge/delivery itās a great way to stock up for the week on expensive fruit (my LG loves the expensive stuff!)

Thereās four in my house (2 adults, child and toddler) and it costs us about Ā£150 per week. Everythingās gotten so much more expensive

We usually do between 50-70 on a weekly shop and then another 30-50 with a top up shop, thereās 2 adults, 1 toddler, baby (doesnāt cost anything yet) and a dog x

Between £80 and £90 a week for two adults and one child. We shop at Aldi and meal plan.

We average around 85-100 (depends if we add wine). But we eat a lot of fruit and veg plus fish, only 1 toddler snack because theyāre pricey and mostly snacks on fruit, Greek yoghurt, hummus so it adds up! š

Too much and it's starting to stress me out š± There's only so much budgeting we can do and then I'd rather not get nothing for myself to keep the costs down and now I'm very anaemic because I don't eat muchš±

Around £100 a week ish x

Ā£160 ish a week I try to make it last a little longer

Weāre usually Ā£100 for 2 adults and 2 children, but then I also top up in the week so probably closer to Ā£130+ on top of that we also go to Costco once a month too and I buy my the girls oat milk in there in bulk as itās cheaper. But the cost of living these days is absolutely disgusting š³

We do a big shop for 2 adults and a toddler on Sundays at Aldi or Lidl (trying to do some form of meal plan) which is about £70/80 then top up during the week about £30-40, so £100-120 a week x

2 adults, 1 toddler! Ā£130 roughly a week. Absolute joke š

We spend around £130 a week. Honestly cannot seem to get it lower. Have you tried doing your shop at other supermarkets? I've been following a women who used to shop at Aldi and she is trying all the other supermarkets to find if she can't get it cheaper, she has found Sainsbury's and Morrisons both cheaper by £30 (she tends to buy the same stuff week on week) might be worth a go x
