Has anyone had their section booked between 36 and 37 weeks

I have placenta previa and been booked in for my section between 36 and 37 weeks, I’m going to have the steroid injections and just wondering how many others have had this and what their experiences were like? I’ve been told by there is a higher chance of baby having to go into special care, have many people experienced this?

i have my c section at exactly 37 weeks. the steroid was abit painful can’t lie. had my c section at 1pm and little girl was in NICU till 8 am next morning as she struggled holding her oxygen at first. But By 7pm am she didn’t need the incubator and then was allowed to stay with me from the next morning x

I had my c section around the same as you. I got the steroid shot and had my son weighing 5.10 lbs.
he did not need to go to special care but he did lose weight as I wasn’t making milk yet. And that was our struggle. However they let us go home after his first poop like normal. He continued to lose weight and I struggled to keep him awake for feeds, or anything of that matter. And he had to use the glow light for jaundice but we used a home kit
