HCG Levels
hi ladies, quick question…
this is my second pregnancy, i found out im pregnant but since im still breastfeeding i dont know when we conceived, my ob made me do a blood test 2 days ago and today to see my levels and if they double, i assume im at around 5-7 weeks but my levels didnt double, any opinion? has anything like this happened before to someone else? pic attached.
as for symptoms i have:
slight nausea (almost non existent)
slight headaches
slight cramping (period like)
no blood, regular discharge.

After a certain threshold hCG doesn’t double but continues rising. After 1000miu you should be able to see a sac, so if you can request a scan, you can check where the pregnancy is located. Best of luck xx
Early on levels double every 48-72 hours
These draws weren’t a full 48 hours apart and increased by almost 3,000
I’m not a dr so idk if that’s “good” enough of a rise or not
I’d ask for another draw just so you can see if it’s still rising
Mine with my first son didn’t double either just rose gradually at like 6w
"The expected rate of increase is 49% for an initial hCG level of less than 1,500 mIU/mL, 40% for an initial hCG level of 1,500–3,000 mIU/mL, and 33% for an initial hCG level greater than 3,000 mIU/mL"
Since your first draw was over 3000, it only needed to rise 33%.. and your levels rose 56.8% .. I would say you’re doing just fine! 🤍
got an update, we got a scan and they said i’m about 6 weeks along so it makes sense that my levels didn’t double.
