Pregnant moms of toddlers

Are you guys still picking your toddlers up??? I have been every single day this pregnancy because I am a SAHM. I was told I shouldn’t be lifting anything over 20lbs….. my toddler is almost 30lbs. I feel terrible that I have been lifting more than I should… but also how do I not pick up my toddler??? How are you handling this?

I'm still picking my mine but shes still 20 lbs. My midwives don't like it and tell me to start coming down to her level to comfort or making her climb the couch and making her walk instead of me picking her up. I have a hard time with it and I see many fully pregnant women with a child on their hip. My midwives are more focused on my pelvic floor with it as well

Occasionally. My doctors haven’t said anything about it and she does come to all of my appointments with me. She’s almost 30lbs. I’ll lift her if I need to give her hugs during a tantrum and it’s faster than getting down to her level or if her dad isn’t home and I need to put her in the bath or something like that. But for the most part I try to avoid it because it just doesn’t feel good and I also have a hiatal hernia from my pregnancy with her so it hurts to lift pretty much anything

I do. She is 40lbs and I pick her up whenever she wants me to. I don’t have any issues.

I regularly lift 150+ lbs at the gym… I lifted even more in my first pregnancy. No one ever told me not to lift. What is the risk?

I brought a sling for my toddler it helps even out the weight so my toddler doesn’t feel so heavy. My husband was gone for few weeks so I had to pick him up all the time. This made it so much better for me to not stain while holding him.

Yes, I got a paper at the beginning of my pregnancy that all pregnant women get staying not to carry more than 15lbs. My toddler is 35lbs

I still pick my toddler up because it's so hard not too n I don't want him to feel like I'm neglecting him.
