Is my daughter (11yo) too young to shave her armpits and leg hairs?

If she wants to shave it off, I would let her. It’s just hair

I use an electric shaver on my almost 11 years old legs for about 2 years now. She was getting bullied on school for hairy legs. The electric shaver doesn’t get too close to the skin and it lasted about 6 months before she asked me to do it again.

She doesn’t have enough hair on her arm pits yet, but if she asked, then I would help her.

As a child my mom told me no, so I sneaked around and did it myself and cut myself so many times I came to her bleeding. I would rather help my child vs her going behind my back to do it.

My daughter started shaving in 5th grade due to having a lot of hair and being in gymnastics
Seems early but not at all! I would shave her first to teach her and get her comfortable and then she would practice in the bathtub while watching a show

Yea I feel like thats around the age I started too. I remember it was the summer we rented a big house on cape cod with my aunts and uncles and cousins. My cousin kat is 2 months younger than me and was already shaving so I begged my mom to let me start too. I cut myself sooo many times I feel like an electric razor is a good idea as suggested in the comments above 😊

Whatever age my daughters gets hair they can start shaving. I wouldnt make them walk around with body hair they don't feel comfortable with. I remember getting made fun of for not shaving because my mom thought it sexualized me to shave😒

You don’t have any wax around for yourself? Waxing would last her longer, maybe a week or 2 before it’ll start growing back, the more she waxes the less it’ll grow out over time, my daughter uses my wax pot to wax her underarms sometimes she cbf so she asks me to do it we as Asians don’t really have any leg hair but she uses my wax. As opposed to shaving every couple days. I now am lasered but I still have my wax here when I bought it ages ago sometimes I use it for my eyebrows still. My laser sessions were $50 for 2 areas 1 session I went in once a month for like 8m and now it’s just a yearly session of $50

I would say 11 is a bit too young. I would ask more questions.. Maybe her appears are doing it so she wants to do it too.
