Don’t be upset . Babies don’t really know the meaning of the sounds they make / babble at this stage . So it’s not really associated with your partner or yourself ! It will come with time and have intention . Trust me !

Also in terms of speech and language development d is a much easier sound to make than m so that’s why they say it more. I also genuinely think they are just used to us responding and meeting their needs without them calling for us (unlike their dads)
