Sippy cups for formula??!

I never heard that! Mine still drinks from teats too and only has water from his sippy cup. Nursery give him milk in his milk bottle too

That’s incorrect advice from your health visitor. Generally once they reach 1 year old or so, and transition onto cows milk etc and off formula, then they should move onto a cup for that. Offering a cup with water for sips at meals is fine from 6 months though. Have a look on nhs website for advice too :)

These health visitors are mad. Why they all saying different things, the amount of stress they cause, you’d have thought they’d get the same training. It seems they make stuff up from one household to the next. This is a new one for me. I don’t believe anyone is giving milk from a sippy cup from 6 months. If you’re really worried go to the dentist if it will ease your mind. Nonsense though if you ask me

My HV said to give milk in sippy cups from 12 months. Mine just has water in sippy cups with meals. Never heard that before

Your HV is wrong, it's not until they're 1 years old that you should transition away from bottles. I also have a 4 year old and I've never heard such thing

On my third baby they all had bottles until just over a year when I introduced cows milk my 2 eldest hated it so naturally dropped bottles xx

Im unsure this is correct info, HV can really throw spanners in when unwarranted. My daughter up until she turned 2 drunk from a mam bottle - I plan do the same with my son. There's no rush to get them off a bottle that young. If my son shows signs of resisting the bottle I'll then start transitioning him to the NUK bottle I bought specifically for his milk x
