I don’t know if it’s cause he’s thin or if his prematurity, but my son almost always gets really cold hand and feet.
To the point that he will turn blue and he has been checked over when he was a baby and said that he’s all fine, but we can be inside the house and they are cold.
So now that it’s winter again and he doesn’t want to stay in a nice cosy pram, I need ways to keep him warm when outside.
Any other ideas appreciated

I like to wear leggings or thermal tights under my trousers so I do the same for my daughter so she has that extra layer. I was always told they should have one more layer than you :)

I used to put my boy in tights and then trousers (when we went out) up until he was 2/2.5yrs. If at home, he just wore tights but also a grow over the top (poppers under the crotch to stop them falling too much) with a jumper if he needed it.
Leg warmers are good too.

My mum used to do this with my brother when we where younger, he was such a skinny kid and was always cold so tights it was.

Buy thermals

How old is your little one? Unfortunately Cold hands and feet are normal during the winter months as their body uses its heat to keep their body and organs warmer over the winter months.
I personally wouldn’t put tights on him from experience in childcare. I’d buy him thicker trousers/ fleece lined ones. Thicker socks, shoes or boots with fluff inside, gloves and a thick all in one suit for being outside in. If he’s tiring blue with all of this on then I’d be contacting my GP/ DRS for advice x

Thermal leggings / top

Sorry, I accidentally clicked "not necessary" when I meant to say it's a good idea. I've been putting my LO in either an extra thick pair of trousers or an extra pair of leggings for past few days when we go out.

You could put him in a snowsuit with normal clothes underneath, I've got fluffy socks for my toddler and fleece lined Chelsea boots

Currently not but I was considering whether or not to do this for my son at school! My husband thinks I’m ridiculous but I wear leggings/tights under trousers basically every day!

Brilliant idea! I do this lol
