Just wondering if anyone found giving an earlier bedtime has actually fixed early rise? My baby sleeps 8:30pm-5am which is amazing but then she’s tired for her first nap at 7 which just seems crazy! I’ve tried pushing bedtime later but that seems to give me the same morning rise for some reason🤔

The later my daughter goes to bed the earlier she wakes up. Between 18:00 and 19:00 is like the sweet spot for us. How many naps is she having? X

We do bedtime at 7:30 and last nap finishes at 5:30 latest x

So we aim for 3 naps (4 if the day goes to pot) and it’s 2hrs15 for each wake window except the last one is 2hrs30. It seems to work for us. It took a little while for her naps to settle back down after the regression but she’s normally down now between 18:00 and 19:00 and sleeps between 11 and 13 hours x

I treat a 24 hour period as two parts - 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am and I try to do the first nap at 9-10am and the second from 12-2.15 (give or take). If I can, I’ll offer a third nap around 4.15 but only for 20 mins so that baby is in bed by 7pm (doesn’t always go to sleep then but he’s in his cot). I consider any wake ups before 7am as still night time so he stays in his cot and I’ll repeat the bedtime settle routine until he’s asleep. He’s up at 7 regardless of whether he’s still asleep or not as I need to get ready for toddler’s nursery drop off. I never turn the lights on or take him out of his room between 7pm-7am. If I have to change his nappy, I use the torch on my phone x
Okay starting to think I was expecting too much from her! She was doing 8:30-5 with 0 wake ups in between !!
But I did 7:30 bed last night and she woke at 4, but much more drowsy than at 5 and was able to put her back to bed after a bottle and change so think I will stick to this earlier time! Thanks ladies ❤️
