How is everyone prepping for labour? I’m hoping for a natural birth so want to start preparing soon. I’ve got the final push tea and will be starting that as soon as midwife says I’m okay too. I’ve heard dates are good but when should I start eating them and how many a day? Any other recommendations and prep I should be starting soon? X

I’m having an elective section, I go on mat leave 1st December so I’m having a really chilled December and spending as much time as I can with my first born before she arrives. I would just let your body do its thing, baby will come when ready. I will be doing hospital bag just before Christmas in case she comes early, but my little boy was 6 days over his due date and came Xmas Eve 2017. So I’m hoping she doesn’t haha X

Eat dates as much as you want and start from now if you like them. I love medjoul ones with peanut butter and chocolate.i have been eating them for years. But not everyone likes dates. The only prep ive done so far is accepting it is going to hurt and it is going to be hard the first month.

Have you done a hypnobirthing course? I'd recommend the positive birth company digital pack. Its £40 and well worth it. I'd get started with that soon though if you want to do it x
