Apparently not chicken pox?

My little one developed a few spots just over a week ago then a few days later vomited and then developed a bad viral cough. Then he developed more spots on his back and neck and a few random ones. He saw the pharmacist and they didn’t think it was chicken pox cos he wasn’t itching them but couldn’t say what it was. A few days later and he still has spots some of them have gone scabby but now he’s developed more on his bum that are itchy. And he still has a bad cough. He saw the doctor again and she still says it isn’t chicken pox. But I honestly don’t know what it could be because to me it looks like chicken pox but they said they aren’t blistered but some of them are. But he’s due to be back at nursery Friday and technically I can send him as they’ve said it’s not chicken pox but I really feel like it is. More pictures in comments

I'd take him back again, and I also wouldn't send him to nursery until they do tell you what it is. The spot in the first picture doesn't look like it's filled with fluid like chicken pox

I think if you’ve seen two medical professionals and they’ve said it’s not chicken pox it probably isn’t. Just send him to nursery as long as he’s well in himself. It’s likely a viral rash. Very common in children when they are a bit run down
