Has anyone taken this antibiotic for a sinus infection/niggling cough whilst pregnant? My toddler bought home a flu bug a couple weeks ago and I’ve been bunged up on and off but now I have a lot of headache type of pain come the end of the day and my head feels so achy when I cough. The cough is becoming dryer but some days I wake up feeling better and other days I wake up feeling like I’m back to square one ill again. I’m not sure what other natural remedies I can try but on the bad days paracetamol wasn’t touching my head pain. I managed to get a pharmacist telephone appointment and they’ve prescribed antibiotics but now I’m too scared to take them as I know they will pass through the placenta. My heart rate since the start of the illness has been 120-150 with just normal everyday movement so I’m concerned about that but also now concerned about taking the tablets as I can’t tell what’s just normal pregnancy and whats illness

I have sinus symptoms right now and I am in first trimester and asked gynecologist about it. She advised me not to take any antibiotics or nasal sprays. And to go to ENT if symptoms are worse. Now, some days are good and some days are bad with lots of coughing, so I am just stalling for now. So, I also don’t know what is allowed or safe to take in pregnancy. Best to ask ENT or gynecologist

Have you looked it up on the website called bumps? It's really good for checking what medications are safe and in what doses depending on stage of pregnancy. Chances are your pharmacist has already checked this, as it's their job to check whatever is prescribed is safe for the individual, more so than a Dr would. But if you really are worried check the bump website.
