Natural remedies for persistent toddler cough!

I try to avoid medicine as much as possible and looking for a remedy that actually works for a persistent cough!!

The last time we took cough syrup, it didn’t do much and left me quite frustrated that I packed this little person full of medication for absolutely nothing lol. I’m always eager to try a more natural route!

Some things that have been providing temporary relief are honey, ginger tea/warm drinks and vapour rub but looking for a more solid solution

Any tried and tested remedies that you find WORKED?? Do share 🥰

Helpful suggestions only please and thank you in advance ❤️

Hey, I’ve been reading a lot about onions in socks at the bottom of their feet working? Or thinly sliced ginger wrapped in a cloth in their socks?

Haven’t tried as I’m currently pregnant😅

We use the following remedies for our little one when he is sick:

Different Globuli (depending on the type of cold, it's either Agropyron, Argentum, Belladonna or/ and Meteoreisen or others)

Chopped onion and garlic in socks

Nebuliser with saline solution 2-3 times a day

When your LO is older than one year, I recommend homemade cough syrup:
Manuka honey higher than +300 MGO (I use +525 MGO)
Thinly sliced unwaxed organic lemons
Fresh thyme
Fresh rosemary
Fresh sage
Fresh oregano
Fresh grated ginger
Put/squash the solid ingredients in a jar, cover them with the Manuka honey and let ferment at room temperature for 2 weeks. Make sure everything is fully covered by the honey.
Make sure that the honey is between every layer of the solid ingredients.

For us it works wonders.
