I have just woken up to my ankles quite swollen…I went to mau with really bad headaches last week and and slight vision changes but because my blood pressure was only “raised” they sent me on my way.
Am I being worried for no reason or do you think I should discuss this with my midiwife?

I would discuss it with your midwife. Some of the symptoms you mentioned are consistent with pre-eclampsia. I think there are blood tests they can do to screen for more pre-eclampsia indicators so you could get your midwife to push for it if you’re worried.
Where abouts are you feeling the headache? I saw in one of the Great Birth Rebellion podcasts that with pre-eclampsia the headache usually a frontal one (forehead region) - if it’s like a tension headache around the back of your head it’s less likely to be pre-eclampsia.
Re raised BP, it also depends on what you are normally. I usually run on the lower side (105/60) so if mine suddenly went up to like 135/85 I would be flagging it since it’s a big jump x
