Weight loss

Baby is 5.5 months, took her to get weighed this morning and she's lost a bit of weight in the last month meaning she's dropped from 50th to 25th centile. Has anyone had this at this age? She has around 28-32 oz of formula per day which I don't think is underfeeding her?
She's sitting unaided now so I think I might start weaning now, anyone else started early?

Was it the health visitors that weighed her? Did they give any advice? Weaning may help but equally it may fill her belly with things that don’t necessarily provide the same nutrients and vitamins etc that formula provide and then she may end up taking less milk and add to the weight loss. I’d try upping her milk first and ruling out any underlying problems before fast forwarding to weaning x

Is her weight proportional to her length? My LO went from 50th to 25th and they didn't seem concerned given that he's otherwise happy and developing well.

My little girl got weighed on Wednesday she’s gained perfectly but my health visitor said to crack on with weaning as she won’t be getting all the nutrients from just her formula now. It’s funny how you get told different things. She will be 6 months old on Dec 4th. We started on puréed vegetables yesterday x

Yeah my first dropped from 75th to 50th around this age and has been 50th ever since. I just think it was the size she was meant to be.

My girl dropped when I got her weighed at 5 months. They just said to take her back in a month as it could just be her new normal, but if she’s dropped again they’ll advise further.
