What yoghurts are you giving your little ones? I’ve always been cautious of what I give my little boy so I’ve only ever given him like baby yoghurt in a pouch or Greek, but is there any flavoured yoghurt from the fridge section in shops we can give ?

We always give greek and mix in the flavours x

Little Yeo or natural yogurt with fresh fruit mixed in.
Greek yoghurt (actual Greek yogurt not Greek style) is pretty high in protein so depending on how old not always the best option as you should limit protein intake and fromage frais shouldn’t actually be given to under 4’s according to the packaging due to added sugars and the fact its cheese not actual yogurt so is higher in protein so if you give I wouldn’t give too many/ too often especially if baby is under 1 x

Basically anything that's marketed for babies and toddlers is full of sugar, that's why they like it! Plain greek yogurt is best, and cheaper too.

Plain yoghurt with a bit of fruit compote mixed in is going to much better for them than sugary ones marketed to kids. If you do want to give flavoured, you could mix it with Greek / plain to lower the sugar a bit.

i give greek and then mash up fruit in the instead of giving them fruit flavoured, if that makes sense 🤣 mashed up strawberries or raspberries etc

I’ve always done full fat Greek yogurt with either fruit (blending mango pineapple raspberry etc) or peanut butter

Get unflavored yogurt, Greek or scandavian is best, with high fat and no added sugar. Flavoured yogurt almost always contains sugar. You can sweeten it with berries or even a bit of maple syrup (tiny amount, like half the size of a dime), and then you can control the amount of sugar that goes into it, but honestly I've never had to, berries is typically enough.
