Finishing work for maternity leave

I took my maternity leave 6 weeks before I was due as I worked in a fast food restaurant where I was constantly on my feet for 8 hours with a half an hour break😩 it was not fun

Ill be starting maternity leave at 36w but I am taking 2 weeks AL prior so will be off from 34
I work on my feet all day and I’m getting big already so don’t think anyone needs or wants to see me at work that late on 😂

I am starting maternity 36 weeks. But officially 38 weeks as have two weeks leave. I reduce my hours from next week to just 4 days ( got way to much leave) and hoping to work from home full time from Janaury until I finish.

My last day at work is 12th December at 31 weeks! I am then on annual leave until 28th January which is 38 weeks, baby will be coming at 39 weeks latest

I’m in a fortunate position I can reduce my hours while still being paid the same and I’m working 5 days before being due. My 1st was 3 days early too. But I’d rather tag the leave onto the end but it’s all personal choice. X

I went off on 14th dec last year, had 2 weeks hols. Mat leave started 29th dec. baby was due 3rd jan. she didn’t come until 9th though! this pregnancy has made me leave work so I don’t have a date this time xx

I'm working until the day before my due date, we can't get this one into nursery on the same days as my 1st for 3 months after Feb 2027 so I've sacrificed what I planned to do (finish around 37 weeks) as I'll need to take a 3 month career break after my mat leave is up 🥲

Last time I finished the weekend before I was due and kind of banked on baby being a bit late. I actually had him at 40+13 so managed nearly 2 weeks off 😂 (was supposed to be induced at +10 but I didn't want to be, luckily there was no space in any of the hospitals in my area and I naturally went into labour at 40+12). I think when you go back to work it's always a bit bittersweet and very much depends on the person (I remember around 6 months I had these fleeting ideas of SAHM life but by the time I was due back to work I was actually really looking forward to talking to adults and using my brain so I was very ready to be back). I would have loved a month off before my due date this time!

I work in care so my last day is the 16th December and I’ve got about 30 hours holiday that I’m going to stagger over two weeks, I’m in way too much pain with my hips to be going any longer than that! I’ll be 34 weeks when my maternity actually starts

I work in care as a deputy manager and I’m really beginning to struggle now due to pains and fatigue, i plan to start my mat leave in January ill be 35 weeks but i asked for reasonable adjustments to drop one working day a week starting in 2 weeks till my mat leave officially starts to allow me time to rest during the week as the midwives and consultants are not happy with the stress of my job and the impact it can be having on baby x

I went off at 37 weeks with my 1st but this time I’m going off at 32 weeks. It was fine at 37 weeks (he was 2 weeks late anyway) but I didn’t have a toddler then. This time round I’m absolutely done in and desperately need the extra time off!
