Just want to cry
We've been trying to complete on a house purchase since March and I've just had to tell my daughter that we can't do Christmas or her birthday this year because we still don't have a move date and our mortgage offer ends the day before her birthday.
I feel like such a failure as a mum. We are surrounded by packing boxes, Christmas is my favourite time of year and everytime I see Christmas decorations in the shops or on social media I just bawl my eyes out.
This is the first year she has shown real understanding of Christmas and she's so excited. But everything is packed away.
And yes I know there's "real problems" in the world.. but knowing I can't give my children Christmas or my eldest daughter her birthday has completely broken me and I feel like the worst mum in the world.

Do you have family you stay with at Christmas? Or go to for birthday? I would still put a few decorations up that can easily be packed, a pre lit tree, some lights etc.
