My LO (12 months) has had high temperature for the last couple days but no other symptoms so I put it down to teething as it looks like heās got some new teeth coming through. Since yesterday Iāve noticed his gums at the top are very swollen, inflamed and look sore - heās also been off his food completely which is not normal for him even when heās not well. Went to the GPs today and she said yes the gums look very sore and inflamed but she had no idea what it could be so that was no help unfortunately.
Iāve done some reading online and have seen that it could be an allergic reaction to ibuprofen and now Iām wondering if itās that even though heās had nurofen a few times before. Still doesnāt explain the temperature but just wondering if thatās why his gums are so swollen and if anyone has experienced anything similar? Thanks for reading š«¶š¼

Those gums do look super inflamed! I havenāt experienced this however if baby isnāt eating itās usually not too much of a concern- as long as baby is still having liquids & went nappies. If it is really bother baby & behaviour starts to change, Iād personally call 111 or go to urgent care just to get a second opinion!! Hope baby feels better soon!! x
