Baby Monitor During Independent Play?
My girl is almost 17 months old and we've fallen into a bit of a routine where after breakfast every morning I turn on some music, set out some toys in her room (the rest are still easily accessible, I just set a few in the middle of the floor to grab her attention), and I leave her to play independently while I do some housework and get ready for the day, watching her on the baby monitor the whole time. Her room is completely toddler-proofed and the only way she could get herself is tripping and bumping her head on one of the few pieces of furniture in there, but I like to keep an eye on her anyway.
I'm just wondering if anyone does/did the same. Just carrying the monitor around as you do housework so you can keep an eye on the playing toddler?

I do the same, but most of the time it is when I need to go upstairs and put baby to bed. Then chores while she’s asleep and he helps out or goes back to the living room where I can see him on the camera.
Yes I do this but I do it in the living room which I frequent more and where he gets to see me more and check in with me
I’ve done it with my almost 4 year old and it definitely has helped tremendously and inspired more independent play on her part ! I’ll be having another baby soon and doing this already before being pregnant has definitely given me a chance to breathe and get stuff done !!!!
