Hi guys 💖
Just wanting to post on here for advice or if anyone has been in a similar situation.
I’m currently coming into my 2nd trimester 🫶 and have been notified I will be made redundant in the new year. There are other roles within the company which am yet to be offered but potentially waiting for interview for, the company have not pritiosed me under regulations 10 in UK
I do have a back up and job offer for a new company and starting next year but I’m equally as anxious about starting a new job potentially 20 weeks pregnant and wanting to hide until I feel comfortable telling them - you hear so many horror stories! Has anyone starting a new job at this stage, I will be in the office everyday as well.
Thanks for reading xx 💖

If you’re in the UK and are an employee they cannot make you redundant. Even if they are going bankrupt they have to ensure you are fully converted to go on mat leave. Please don’t sign anything as they’ll make you waive your rights.

Do they know you’re pregnant? They absolutely have to offer you a similar role if they know. If not you don’t have the protection.
If you do start a new job you legally have to tell your employer by 25 weeks. You won’t qualify for mat pay so will have to apple for mat allowance.
